Dick Burkarth/Shuttle Meadow Country Club Scholarship Fund
Dick Burkarth retired in 2002 after extraordinary service to Shuttle Meadow Country Club as its golf professional for over forty-three years.As a tribute to Dick, the Governing Committee of SMCC voted to establish a scholarship in his honor. The Dick Burkarth/SMCC Scholarship is awarded annually to SMCC Golf Operations Outside Service Staff who are currently or will be attending a two or four year college or university. The Burkarth Scholarship Committee will choose recipients each August.
The membership of the Shuttle Meadow Country Club have overwhelmingly given their personal support to establish the scholarship as a tribute to Dick Burkarth and to demonstrate their commitment to the community.
