We are very excited to announce that Farmington Bank Community Foundation will be a major sponsor of this initiative for a second year in a row. Their generosity will continue to help us to strengthen local non profits. Thank you!

The CFGNB has a subscription to the Foundation Directory Online (FDO), a powerful resource that contains information on more than 225,000+ grant makers. Due to the pandemic, we are able to make it available remotely through the end of the year so you can do searches from your location. CLICK HERE

Capacity Building Initiative

In 2018, the Foundation introduced a new Capacity Building Initiative to provide local non-profit organizations with resources aimed at strengthening organizational functioning. Since it began, over 40 non-profit staff and board members have benefited from in-depth, hands on workshops focused on issues including fundraising, succession planning, marketing and board engagement. The Initiative also includes a new onsite Non-Profit Lending Library and Resource Center (NPLRC) that provides relevant print and online resources to local organizations.

In 2019, the Foundation added a new Executive Director’s Forum to the Initiative that provides a place for Executive Directors to come together to network, exchange ideas, learn, share best practices and collaborate. Participants in our capacity building Initiative are finding it relevant and impactful. Click here to learn more.
