Applying for a Grant

The Community Foundation engages in strategic grantmaking to organizations and programs that achieve clear gains for the residents of our region.

Your Journey Begins Here

All grant applications must begin with a Letter of Intent (LOI) summarizing the program or project for which funding is being sought.

Given the impact of COVID-19, CFGNB will have an additional round of grants this year. Letters of Intent are due August 31st. If your organization is invited to submit a full application, the deadline for the full application is September 30th. Final funding decisions will be made on December 9th.

Prior to submitting your LOI, we ask that you review our Community Investment Guidelines for complete information on our grants process and areas of interest. If an LOI is received after the deadline, staff will work to accommodate you as best they can.

Please note that only those who have submitted a Letter of Intent and been invited to submit a formal grant application should do so using the Community Foundation Grant Application Guidelines, Grant Request Budget, and the Organizational Budget for Grant Application.

For more detailed grant application guidance and information or to discuss your proposal before submitting a Letter of Intent, please call or e-mail Kaylah Milligan, Program Associate, at 860.229.6018, x305.
