Applying for a Grant

The Community Foundation engages in strategic grantmaking to organizations and programs that achieve clear gains for the residents of our region.

Your Journey Begins Here

Grant applications must begin with a Letter of Intent (LOI) summarizing the program or project for which funding is being sought. Given the impact of COVID-19, there has been a shift in LOI deadlines. Please check back for any upcoming deadlines in 2020.

Due to the unusual and unexpected financial strains the health crisis is causing, time sensitive requests for General Operating funds of $7,500 will be accepted through May 31st, 2020. will be expedited. Please CLICK HERE or contact Kaylah Smith at ksmith@cfgnb.org for questions about this funding.

All grant applications must begin with a Letter of Intent (LOI) summarizing the program or project for which funding is being sought. Letters of Intent should be submitted by January 1 or July 1 to coordinate with grant application deadline. For those invited to apply for funding after an LOI has been reviewed, grant application deadlines are February 1 and August 1.

Prior to submitting your LOI, we ask that you review our Community Investment Guidelines for complete information on our grants process and areas of interest. If an LOI is received after the deadline, staff will work to accommodate you as best they can.

Please note that only those who have submitted a Letter of Intent and been invited to submit a formal grant application should do so using the Community Foundation Grant Application Guidelines, Grant Request Budget, and the Organizational Budget for Grant Application.
