Community Foundation Promotion and New Hire Announced
Kimberly Duncan has been promoted by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain and Candice Tabone is welcomed to the team.
Duncan, who has been with the Foundation since 2015, will be moving into her new role as the Foundation’s first Communications and Donor Relations Manager, while Tabone becomes the Office Manager and Scholarship Associate.
Since graduating from Central Connecticut State University in 2013, Kimberly has worked as the Foundation’s Office Manager and more recently in the Program area as the Scholarship Associate. Duncan will now be handling all public relations for the Foundation as well as working to strengthen relationships with those who support the Foundation in order to further its mission.
“The Foundation continues to grow with new funds and initiatives helping us to make an impact in our communities and Kimberly will be the perfect person to connect with the media and with those who generously support our programs,” says David Obedzinski, President and CEO of the Foundation.
Tabone is a recent graduate of Central Connecticut State University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Community Engagement. Before joining the Foundation, Candice worked in the Dean’s Office for the Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and also interned with Prudence Crandall Center on Burritt Street, New Britain. In her new role, she will be organizing office operations and procedures while also managing the Scholarship Program.
“We are thrilled to welcome Candice to our Foundation team and look forward to having her apply her experience in community engagement and nonprofit work,” says Obedzinski.
