Community Foundation of Greater New Britain Awards over $300,000 in Scholarship Awards

New Britain, Conn., August 23, 2022– The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain has awarded $310,655 in scholarships to 78 students from Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, Southington and other communities through a variety of managed scholarship funds established by individual donors. Since its inception in 1941, the Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships.

The awards come from 50 of the 55 named scholarship funds that the Foundation manages.

The honored students will attend a wide variety of colleges and universities in Connecticut and beyond, among them the University of Connecticut (UCONN), Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), and Quinnipiac University, as well as additional out-of-state schools including Harvard University, University of Rhode Island, Coastal Carolina University, and more.
