The Civic Leadership Fund (CLF) makes it possible for the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain to lead, listen, and respond to the needs of our community.

Unlike a traditional grant that supports one program or organization, the Civic Leadership Fund supports the Foundation’s ongoing work to strengthen the entire nonprofit network and make lasting change in our region.

Through the CLF, we are able to:

• Understand Community Needs: We stay connected to local voices and work closely with nonprofits, residents, and civic leaders to learn where help is needed most.
• Build Stronger Nonprofits: We provide training, workshops, and opportunities for collaboration that help organizations grow their capacity and impact.
• Respond Quickly: When challenges arise, the CLF gives us the flexibility to take action and support solutions that make a difference.
• Bring People Together: We connect partners across sectors to share ideas and find new ways to strengthen our community.

A variety of giving levels in support of the Civic Leadership Fund are available to match any charitable giving budget:

Civic Leader: $5,000+

• $5,000+ includes larger logo placement on the Civic Leadership Fund webpage and featured in our Year in Review publication, which is distributed to thousands of individuals throughout the community. In addition, your name and logo will be included in the Fall Civic Leadership Fund Appeal, also mailed to thousands of local residents in a prominent position as well as your logo featured on a billboard in the community.

Benefactor: $1,000-$4,999

• $1,000-$4,999 includes logo placement on the Civic Leadership Fund webpage and featured in our Year in Review publication, which is distributed to thousands of individuals throughout the community. In addition, your name and logo will be included in the Fall Civic Leadership Fund Appeal, also mailed to thousands of local residents in a prominent position as well as your logo featured on a billboard in the community.

Special Friend: $500-$999

• $500-$999 includes recognition name on the Civic Leadership Fund webpage and featured in our Year in Review publication, which is distributed to thousands of individuals throughout the community. In addition, your name will be included in the Fall Civic Leadership Fund Appeal, also mailed to thousands of local residents in a prominent position in large print.

Advocate: $250-$499

• $250-$499 includes recognition name on the Civic Leadership Fund webpage and featured in our Year in Review publication, which is distributed to thousands of individuals throughout the community. In addition, your name will be included in the Fall Civic Leadership Fund Appeal, also mailed to thousands of local residents.

Supporter: $100-$249

• $100-$249 includes business or organization name listed on Civic Leadership Fund web page and in our Year in Review Publication sent to thousands of individuals in the community.

Associate: Up to $99
