Patricia and Cornelius Clark Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is established to honor the memory of Patricia Clark and the impact she made in the City of New Britain. Patricia received a master’s degree in education from Central Connecticut State University and a 6th year certificate in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. She became District Supervisor of Psychological and Social Work Services in the New Britain School district, until her retirement in 1985.
The purpose of this fund is to enable students from New Britain to pursue higher education. Preference will be given to students attending an accredited two or three- year community college, trade school, or vocational program; however, students attending four-year colleges or universities are also eligible.
Eligible candidates:
• Be previous graduates of New Britain High School or another high school located in New Britain, including charter schools.
• Be an average student who intends to continue their education and demonstrates future potential to succeed.
• Demonstrate financial need based on the student’s Student Aid Report.
• Be attending an accredited two or three- year community college, trade school, vocational program, or four-year college or university.
