The Obedzinski Family Charitable Fund
The Obedzinski Family Charitable Fund was established in 2018 as one of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain’s Donor Advised Funds.
Donor Advised Funds are created by individuals or families who wish to take an active role in their charitable giving—recommending projects or organizations that align with the causes they care most about.
“Having a family fund at the CFGNB is our way of leaving a legacy for causes we care about. It’s very satisfying to know that this will help the community long after we’re gone,” said Linda Obedzinski.
As Dave Obedzinski celebrates his retirement following eight years as President of the Foundation, his leadership has left a lasting mark on the community. Under his guidance, the Foundation established 90 new funds, awarded more than $1.9 million in scholarships, and distributed over $13 million in grants to local nonprofit partners. The Obedzinski Family Charitable Fund reflects the same spirit of generosity and commitment to community that has defined Dave’s tenure and the family’s shared values.
