New Coram Deo Recovery Fund Launches Foundation’s Imagine Match Campaign

New Britain, Conn., April 6, 2022 –The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) is excited to announce a newly established agency endowment fund, the Coram Deo Recovery Fund.

An agency endowment is a type of designated fund established by a charity at a community foundation that will provide annual distributions to the charity. Coram Deo worked with the Foundation in order to establish a fund that will serve local women for years to come.

“At Coram Deo we recognize that we will never be able to fully meet the need of women in recovery – it will always be there. Creating an endowment therefore, is about more than just long term sustainability – it is about serving the next generation of women caught in unhealthy lifestyles,” said Jody Davis, Founder and Director of Coram Deo. “There are children today who may require our services tomorrow. This endowment speaks directly to their need and the needs of so many others for safe, structured, sober Recovery Housing.”

Davis shares that the establishing gift will be $30,000, from two anonymous donors. The Coram Deo Recovery Fund is also the first fund to receive the Foundation’s Imagine Match. Beginning in 2022, the Foundation will match the first $1,000 for up to 10 Agency funds established by December 31, 2022.

“We are honored to be able to support other local nonprofits in our service area,” said David Obedzinski, President and CEO of the Foundation. “Coram Deo and the services they offer are more than deserving of the first $1,000 match of our Imagine Campaign.”
