Ana Grace is the beloved daughter of Jimmy Greene and Nelba Márquez-Greene and younger sister of devoted brother, Isaiah. Her life on earth was ended at Sandy Hook School on December 14, 2012 – a day forever etched in our collective conscious. This scholarship will be awarded in honor of the life of Ana Grace Márquez-Greene whose short life has inspired many people. In her memory, her family has worked tirelessly to demonstrate that love can still win – even in the face of great hardship.

The Ana Grace Márquez-Greene 2024 Love Wins Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from New Britain, CT, who has been accepted to a four-year accredited institution, demonstrates financial need, and has maintained a 3.0 minimum GPA. Excellence and/or curiosity in the arts will be considered and preference will be given to graduates of the Consolidated School District of New Britain. Applicants are welcome to send in a copy of their own art (music, visual performance, writing. etc.) with their application to be considered by the committee.

The application deadline is March 15, 2024. All applications should be emailed to ctabone@cfgnb.org or postmarked by March 15, 2024 and mailed to the address below to be considered.
