Community Foundation of Greater New Britain Launches Powerful Leadership Workshop Series to Equip Leaders for Today’s Challenges
New Britain, CT – May 12, 2025 – The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain is excited to announce Resilient Leadership in Uncertain Times, a two-part workshop series designed to equip nonprofit leaders with critical tools, strategies, and renewed confidence to lead through today’s complex challenges.
Led by nationally recognized consultant Jenora Ledbetter, Founder and CEO of The Self Care Network LLC and author of Centering Equity in Your Organization: A Guide to Building Bridges, Not Barriers, and the series promises an interactive, hands-on experience that goes beyond theory to spark real change. With a Master’s degree in Advocacy and Policy, Jenora brings expertise in helping organizations redesign their culture, leadership, and operations. This series is specially designed for Executive Directors, Program Directors, Senior Managers, and Supervisors who are making high-level decisions in uncertain environments. Different team members are encouraged to attend either or both sessions based on their roles and interests — it is not required for the same person to attend both.
The first session, Crisis Communication and Strategic Planning, will take place on May 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Klingberg Nexus Center, 370 Linwood Street, New Britain, CT. Participants will explore how to communicate under pressure, share their mission effectively during crises, reframe approaches to equity, inclusion, and belonging, and build strong contingency plans.
The second session, Staff Wellness & Retention, will be held on June 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. This workshop will focus on understanding and addressing the emotional toll of leadership, creating trauma-informed organizational cultures, and implementing proven strategies to retain top talent.
Participants will walk away with ready-to-use communication tools, custom crisis-response frameworks tailored to their organizations, trauma-informed leadership strategies, and a renewed sense of clarity, connection, and courage. With a cap of just 20 participants per session, this intimate series offers a rare opportunity for personalized learning and professional growth. Thanks to the support of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the workshops are offered at no cost to participants.
The workshops are open to nonprofit organizations serving Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, and Southington.
