Every resident of Southington can get a free Southington Library card. Our doors are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (We are closed Saturdays July through Labor Day.)

Our Story

Southington Library & Museum has been serving the community since June 1900. The first Library was located in Town Hall in the Court Room. It had a collection of about 1,300 books and was open to the public two afternoons and one evening a week. Click here to read more.
