Southington Public Library Capital Needs Fund

The Southington Public Library is dedicated to its mission to be Southington’s community center and premier resource for information, lifelong learning and cultural enrichment. It is known throughout the region for its wide range of high-quality programs for the public. These include political forums, musical performances, craft nights, outreach to veterans, storytimes and high-tech programs for children, lots of teen-friendly programs, scholar-led book discussions, healthy-living programs, talks by nationally known authors, and much more.

The Library maintains an evolving collection of print and digital material including best-sellers, children’s books, movies, and music. Our 24/7 digital library offers state-of-the-art online courses and research databases.

The current Library building opened in 1975 and was designed to provide sufficient space for 20 years. Now more than 40 years old, the Library needs to expand to serve the needs of Southington’s growing and changing population.  Your contribution to the Southington Public Library Capital Needs Fund will help make library expansion a reality.
