Dr. Lorraine G. Spranzo Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: For registered nurses who are Connecticut residents or students at an accredited graduate school of nursing in Connecticut. Applicants will be registered nurses seeking an advanced degree in nursing (beyond the bachelor of science in nursing); matriculated in an accredited* graduate program leading to an advanced degree in nursing; have completed a minimum of 12 credits in an NLNAC or CCNE accredited graduate program leading to an advanced degree in nursing; minimum GPA of 3.0 on a four-point scale for higher education schooling; record of distinguished professional service; intent to pursue a career in community health nursing or nursing informatics. The scholarship application period is typically from mid-September to the end of October.
*Accreditation must be from either the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), which includes the National League for Nursing (NLN) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
